Women’s Lacrosse: down the rabbit hole for their charity ball
Don’t be late for a very important date! University of Kent sports club Women’s Lacrosse Team are running an event in January at the Ballroom in Canterbury high street, supporting the charity: Breast Cancer Now.
On Thursday 25th January, Women’s Lacrosse will be holding a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party in pink. Follow the white rabbit down to the Ballroom from 7.30pm to late. You can expect Alice in Wonderland themed cocktails, a mad raffle, and tea party games throughout the whole night. The team is transforming the Ballroom into a pink Tea Party – fit for only the maddest – and you can buy tickets from the team in the new term costing £7, or £8 on the door.
This is Women’s Lacrosse’s first event and the sports club is supporting Breast Cancer Now, hoping to make a success of their Alice in Wonderland themed party. With decorations dressed in pink, and running activities throughout the night which you can donate towards, all proceeds will go to this imperative cause.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and over 50,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. Breast Cancer Now is a charity which funds research to build life-saving resources to battle breast cancer. They discover new, and better ways, to diagnose and find breast cancer, extending the lives of its victims. Raising awareness by encouraging charity day events such as marathons, as well as night events such as quiz nights, anybody and everybody can help towards the cause. You can donate on the website, do sponsored challenges, fundraise with events and wear pink to promote the charity colours.
If you would like to help support this charity, get as mad as a hatter and enjoy a night celebrating the life-saving research, attend Women’s Lacrosse Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on the 25th. Everybody is welcome – we’re all mad here!
