The library and surrounding buildings were also evacuated yesterday due to a “mysterious package”, and police were on the scene.

Kent Police have reportedly returned this morning and evacuated the building once again. Other buildings that were evacuated are the Senate, Grimond, Aphra, and Lumley.

All buildings were given the all-clear at 10:09am on 2 December, and were re-opened.

Essentials, the campus shop, was also evacuated at around midday on 2 December. An anonymous phone call said that there was a bomb in the shop, but this was later cleared up as a hoax call.
