Student Trustee and Student Board Member for GK Union Required


Greenwich and Kent Student Unions’ Together (GK Union) are seeking two committed University of Kent Medway Campus students to fulfil voluntary positions on their board.

Kent Union require one student trustee, and GK Unions – a partnership between the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent’s Student Unions – require one board member.

The trustee must be a committed and resourceful student whose roles would include monitoring the financial performance of Kent Union, ensuring that Kent Union’s funds are spent according to their charitable aims and objectives, and also to add genuine value to the board, through the generation of new innovative ideas and broadening thinking on the board of all members.

The GK Unions Board student member would be responsible for the affairs within the partnership, overseeing Union services and ensuring they enhance the Medway student experience and also reporting to both the Kent Union and Greenwich Board of Trustees on an annual basis.

The positions are both invaluable opportunities and offer the acquisition and development of new knowledge and skills, which will be crucial in later employment.

Both of the aforementioned positions are unpaid and the closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday, 10 October.
