Single Review – R.E.M. – Supernatural Superserious
Great news for all REM fans, the ageing trio have still got it. “Supernatural Superserious” is a fantastic tune, following the same format that every REM fan will know: Michael Stipe’s warbled, quick paced singing alongside the extremely talented Mike Mills taking the bass for a jaunty walk in hand with Peter Buck’s ever upbeat country guitar.
There isn’t an awful lot to say about this single in particular, because we have all (thankfully) heard REM before, and this song is pretty much more of the same. Perhaps that can be perceived as a problem in some eyes, but not in mine. I love REM as they are, and they can spoon feed me these astounding tracks and I will keep swallowing them without a complaint.
