The Internet World Will Witness Whitney Houston’s Funeral

Whitney Houston

On Saturday 18th February Whitney Houston’s funeral will be shown online, her family have agreed to allow a single camera to broadcast the event.

Viewers from all over the world will witness inside the New Hope Baptist Church in New Jersey, where she first sung as a child, and the service is aiming to start at 17:00 GMT.

It is reported that Aretha Franklin will perform, her former husband Bobby Brown will also be present.

She will later be buried in the same cemetery as her father, John Russell Houston Jr, in Fair View Cemetery, New Jersey.

The singer, that was due to perform at the Grammy Awards, was found underwater and unconscious in her bath in her Beverley Hilton hotel, in Los Angeles, last week.

Police officials investigating her death have issued subpoenas for her medical records after finding prescription drugs in her hotel room.

Since her death ‘Billboard’ reported that sales of her records have soared. ‘Whitney: The Greatest Hits’ is at number 6 in the American chart, after selling 64 000 copies, more Houston albums were purchased in the last week (over 101,000) than had been sold in all of 2011 and 2012 to date.
