Dreaming of a job in the music industry need not be such a distant dream for the younger generation, thanks to The Ultimate Seminar (TUS), giving young adults the chance to learn from music industry influencers including Wretch 32, Delilah, Darcus Beese, Lucas Secon and more.
Taking place at 309 Regent Street on November 24th in association with Westminster Centre for Commercial Music, TUS is described by industry insiders as “the place to exchange knowledge and information” (Tim Blacksmith, Producer Ne-Yo, Rihanna) and “encourages tomorrow’s generation of music industry players to break through” (Jake Nava, Beyonce Video Director).
Music industry influencers will be on hand throughout the day to provide and share their insight & advice to aspiring young adults eager to enter the music business.
Sponsored by Live Magazine, London 360, Atlantic Records, Island Records, Sony/RCA and BMI, guest speakers are set to include Lana Del Rey’s manager Ben Mawson, Co President of Island Records Darcus Beese through to Wretch 32, Delilah, Kwes, Tree Top Flyers and Hadouken.
Wretch 32 comments: “TUS is such a good idea for young people. Loads of kids these days dream of becoming musicians, but it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. It’s not just about the artists making the music industry a great place to work – there are loads of amazing people that support us and hearing about the variety of jobs you could choose will definitely help you make a better decision about what to do with your life.”
TUS aims to provide young adults with clear-guided career advice by ensuring that all the panels are broad in content with credible speakers and promises to provide advice that is authentic, actionable and candid.
During the seminar, attendees will be able to submit their CV’s for several internship positions held at established industry companies. Details will be announced via social media in the lead up to the event and candidates will be selected soon after.
Tickets are free but subject to registration and are available online now at www.theultimateseminar.com.
